Joint Seals & QuickLocks

When municipal sewage lines are in need of fast repair with minimal disruption to serve, Mechanical Joint Seals and QuickLocks are a preferred choice.

What is it?

PREVENTING INFILTRATION AND STRENGTHENING SYSTEM INTEGRITY

Joint Seals and QuickLocks are mechanical repair bands specifically designed to address infiltration and structural issues in Sanitary Sewer and Storm Water systems. This repair method features durable stainless steel retaining bands combined with a rubber sleeve. When installed, they create a watertight seal that prevents infiltration, restores structural integrity at areas where cracks / fractures are identified, and extends the lifespan of the system.

This process is applied for:

● Municipal sewage lines
● Well and potable water piping systems
● Leaking and/or offset joints
● Root intrusion
● Holes, longitudinal & circumferential cracks
● Abandon laterals
● Restore structural integrity of pipe prior to lining

*Mechanical Joint Seals and QuickLocks are an approved DOT repair method.

Our Process

The Joint Seals & Quicklocks Process

Repair recommendations for structural seals are based on the size of the pipeline. QuickLocks are the preferred mechanical repair solution for pipelines up to 24” in diameter, due to their ease of installation and accessibility. For pipelines 30” in diameter and larger, Joint Seals are recommended for structural repairs.

To install, we insert the sleeve into the pipe where it is placed over the damaged section. We guide the QuickLock through line by attaching the QuickLock to a trolley and mounted on a pipe inspection crawler. After this, we inflate the packer which will expand and permanently lock into position.

Both Joint Seals and QuickLocks require no chemicals or curing time, and the process does not necessitate temporarily blocking the system. This allows for fast installation with minimal disruption to service.
